#7 - Karen, who said...

I would buy pretty much ANYTHING from that site since I have a baby due in June and only have...a stroller, a teething ring and a Valentine's Day bib (both gifts from students), and a tshirt. :)

Congratulations, Karen...on the giveaway, but more importantly on your baby!!!  I'll email you the promotional code from CSN Stores and you can get shopping!  Could you please email me so that I make sure I have your most recent email address?  Thanks!

After our taste of spring last week, we got TONS of snow again yesterday.  On a positive note, it gave me our first 2-hour delay this morning...and I am loving it!  The kids were still up early (thanks to a very loud snow blower), but it was still nice to have a leisurely morning at home.  Our normal morning chaos as we all try to race out the door at 6:45 was replaced with morning chaos as we tried to race out the door at 8:45.  Still chaotic, but somehow the later time just made it seem so much more pleasant!

I can hardly believe it, but Madison and Olivia's 4th birthday is coming up this weekend.  We are busy getting ready to celebrate their special day at a nearby water park with three other families and their kiddos.  Fun!  We also got to celebrate this past weekend with Steve's family, including David and Jenn who flew up from Nashville for the long weekend.  We had a birthday sleepover with everyone at Deb and Ric's house and it was so much fun.  Look for pictures from this past weekend (and next weekend, too!) to follow...

Yesterday marked the 14 year "anniversary" of when a friend of mine from high school was hit by a car and suffered some really serious injuries while we are all at Ski Club together.  Since her recovery, she has declared February 21st as "Celebrate Life Day" as this is a special reminder to her of how lucky she is and how far she's come in 14 years.

As  I heard about her celebration yesterday, it really got me thinking about some things that are going on in my own life.  Recently, I have been watching two friends go through some pretty challenging times in their lives as they deal with very serious and scary medical issues.  I find myself thinking of all of them at so many different points of my day and praying that God rests his healing hand on them both.  I pray that their family members who are watching them struggle find comfort in God's love and the love and support of everyone around them.  I pray that they, like Molly, are soon having their own "Celebrate Life Days"...and that everyone around them is remembering to celebrate this special and precious gift of life that God has given us all...

I have a Celebrate Life Day too... though I haven't yet called it that. I think I miht start that tradition, 23 years after the fact. ;-) Thanks for inspiring me to think about that day positively.
