It seems like so many people are dealing with this latest wintry blast from Mother Nature, including those of us here in Ohio. We woke up this morning to a coating of ice covering EVERYTHING outside. The ice sure is beautiful when you can stay inside your warm house to enjoy it...but not as picturesque when you have to be driving around on the roads.
Luckily for us, all the schools in the area were closed today so we were able to enjoy a fun day at home. We did venture out briefly to visit a former student of mine who's recovering from a very major surgery (and who is officially the bravest, strongest kiddo I've ever had the privilege of meeting). Luckily, her family lives awfully close to us, so we were able to visit with them for a bit before heading back to the warmth of our own house.
Tonight's forecast is calling for more ice, so maybe we'll be home again tomorrow. We all know that I'd be ok with another day home and so would Madison. Olivia, on the other hand, thinks that her teacher would miss her too much if she didn't have preschool tomorrow. With having a teacher for a mother, how does she not yet realize how much teachers love snow days???
