The recipe I'm sharing is for a quick, easy summer dessert...Dessert Pizza! Please disregard the shadows on my picture. Note to self: take pictures of food items yourself instead of asking dear husband to do it for you! At least he took the picture, right?!?!?
If you haven't made it before, Dessert Pizza isn't terribly hard to make. The most time consuming part is cutting the fruit.
* Roll out one tube of sugar cookie dough onto a cookie sheet (I love using my Pampered Chef pizza stone)
*Bake the dough as directed on the package
* Allow cookie to cool completely
* Mix together 16 oz cream cheese (softened), 1/4 cup of sour cream, 1 tsp vanilla, and 3 Tbsp powdered sugar and spread mixture over cooled cookie
*Spread strawberry or raspberry preserves over that (I usually use about 3-5 tablespoons...just enough to cover it lightly)
* Cover with seasonal fruit of your choice
I hope that your family enjoys this recipe as much as mine does!
