Great-Grandmas = GREAT fun!

Over the weekend, we traveled to Buffalo to celebrate Christmas with my family.  It was a short trip, but it was great to see everyone.  With all the snow that the Great Lakes region had received lately, we weren't even sure if we'd make it there, but luckily the weather was great for the whole trip (unlike this Christmas trip we took).

For our car trip back, we added an extra passenger in the backseat of our van...my Grandma Lois (Lo Lo to the girls).  This was the prefect opportunity to bring her to Ohio for a week because she could ride here with us and then head back to New York with my mom when she comes for Christmas.

The girls have been so excited to have their Great-Grandma here and we've been keeping ourselves awfully busy this week.  On Tuesday, we decided to have a lunch date with one of their other great-grandmothers, Nolie.  It was so neat watching the girls play with Nolie and Lo Lo, and we all had a wonderful afternoon together.  The day left me feeling awfully blessed that Steve and I have so many grandmothers still around who are such a huge part of our lives and the lives of our girls.

Nolie and Olivia
Nolie and a very silly Madison (a huge chocolate peppermint milkshake may have been the cause of the silliness)

Lo Lo and Livie

I really wanted to get a cute picture of all four of them and I was getting frustrated because Madison kept moving herself into the strangest positions for all of the pictures.  After I took a few, she asked to see them on my camera and when I showed her, she immediately started giggling.  "I was trying to show my butt for the picture and you CAN see it in the picture!", she said as the giggles continued coming.  Lovely memory to go along with my sweet picture of the two generations....
