Partners in Crime

On our recent trip to Buffalo, Olivia (who's always looking for ways to cause trouble) teamed up with my dad (who's also always looking for ways to cause trouble) to chase away geese who were quietly, peacefully hanging out on the nearby golf course.  Thanks to them, here are directions for how to chase away geese.  Because who doesn't want directions to do that?

Step 1: Sit down together and discuss the best possible ways to meet your goal.

Step 2: Attempt to get the geese to leave by showing them your best silly faces.  (Note that my dad's "silly face" actually looks quite grumpy...putting to rest any questions as to why he's "Grumpa" instead of "Grandpa".)

Step 3: Discuss how many idiots it takes to chase geese away and come to the conclusion that you need two idiots to complete the task.  (Thanks again for the new vocabulary lesson, dad!)

Step 4: Strategize one final time to ensure that your new plan is fool-proof and determine a speedy exit strategy in case the geese aren't friendly.

Step 5: Sneak out towards the geese as quietly as possible.  If your cohort is noisy, it might be necessary to remind him/her to be quiet several times.

Step 6: Continue sneaking out as stealthily as possible.  Crouching down lower to get at "geese level" is optional.

Step 7:  When you get close enough, start yelling and flapping your wings like the geese (or an idiot...whatever works best for you) until the geese have all scattered.

Am I the ONLY one concerned about what these two are going to come up with then they are together for several WEEKS when we head up to Deer Lake in Minnesota?!?!?

Livie shows early signs of executive talent - strategic thinking, good team skills and the ability to operationalize and execute.

For our next project Livie and I plan to demonstrate how to gut and clean a rock bass with a chainsaw.
