To Tokyo With Love

Things haven't been terribly exciting in our neck of the woods these days. Unless of course you consider getting your wisdom teeth removed and having a hole in your sinus cavity repaired as exciting. Being the recipient of both of those fun surgical experiences at the end of last week, I'm choosing to put them into the UN-exciting category.

So needless to say, things have been pretty quiet and low-key around here. The girls, of course, are little balls of energy and don't let anything stop them. They have been pretending to be doctors and have been taking care of me all weekend long, which has been adorable.

Last night, they started dragging out all of their dress-up clothes and they ended up in their kimonos that Uncle Rog brought them from Japan when he was visiting at Christmas time. I got them to sit still long enough to snap a quick picture, before they were off, pretending to be flying to Tokyo...which they tell me they're going to do for real when they get just a little bit bigger. We'll see about that!

Your girls are adorable!!

Thanks so much for the comments on my blog! You asked about the double stroller we found for my daughter, Kendyll. I actually found it in a children's consignment store - Once Upon a Child. But I've seen similar items on my local Craigslist and on ebay. It is a doll Maclaren double. Good luck with your search!

We'll go to Tokyo with you! Save those kimono's when they grow out of them. Should be able to do something to make them a wall decoration!

Other suggestions for outgrown kimonos would be to make american girl kimonos, or I could show you my cosmetic bag made from a kimono next time you visit. They really are adorable.

I don't really know how to say "adorable" in Japanese, but "Konnichiha" means "Hello"...does that count for something?

Cute picture, Heather! Hope you are feeling better soon!
