Where to even begin? I feel blessed by so many different things in my life. Even on my worst days, I try to remember some of these important aspects of my life, for which I am so very, very thankful.
I am thankful for my husband. He stands beside me through good times and bad and through it all has yet to give up on me. We have so much fun when we are together and when he is at my side any and all of life's challenges seem manageable. I love how well we work together, whether it's raising our two kids or doing a project around the house. I love the million and one "little things" that he does on a daily basis to show that he loves me, from making me coffee in the mornings to holding me at night as I fall asleep.
I am thankful for my two beautiful children. There were several years where I started to believe that Steve and I would never be able to have children of our own, yet here they are and boy, are they amazing! I love their individual personalities and how, in spite of their differences, they take care of and look after each other all the time. I love their sweet voices that great me each morning with a "Hi Mommy" or "Mama!!!!". When their little bodies snuggle up against mine and their tiny arms wrap around me, it truly melts my heart. Becoming a mother is such an incredible gift and it is one that I thank God for each and every day.
I am thankful for my family. Steve and I are fortunate the we have LOTS of family members, both near and far. From mothers, step-mothers, mother-in-laws, grandmothers, fathers, father-in-laws, soon-to-be step-fathers and brothers (wow....what a list!), we are surrounded by supportive, loving family members. I often think about how lucky our kids are that they have two great-grandmothers and THREE sets of grandparents. Plus two pretty cool uncles. Do you think our kids might get spoiled from time to time?!?!?
I am thankful for my friends. Steve and I are so lucky to be surrounded by so many great friends. Some are old friends that we've had for as long as we can remember, while others are newer. Regardless of how long we have known them, our friends really are an amazing bunch. All of our friends are always there for us whenever we need them. I love knowing that whatever we have going on in our lives, I have a close group of amazing friends who are always there for me...to laugh with me during life's funny times, to cry with me during the sad times, to celebrate with me during the great times, and to support me during the difficult times.
For all of these things, and for so many, many others, I am incredibly thankful this Thanksgiving. God has blessed me time and time again!
