Christmas 2010

Well, here it is...it's 2011 already and I'm finally getting around to posting pictures from Christmas. I was *kindly* reminded by a relative that I hadn't posted Christmas pictures yet, so here they are!  Better late than never!

We started our Christmas celebrations by traveling to Buffalo at the start of my two weeks off from school.  We hadn't been up north since the summer so it was really nice to see everyone!  We celebrated with my dad's family on Saturday and my mom's family on Sunday.  I even finally got to meet my cousin's new boyfriend (who is awesome...and was easily conned into reading The Polar Express to the kids).

After our weekend in Buffalo, we returned home and celebrated Baby Jesus' birthday with some of our favorite friends.  We played and decorated cookies together!

Olivia and Mateo (and I LOVE the look on his face...he totally wants that cookie!)

Maddie and Live also helped me bake several different types of cookies throughout the week.  They are finally at an age where they better at helping in the kitchen, so when I have the time, I try to let them help me (since "help" always seems to make things take a bit longer!!!).

Then on Christmas Eve, we went to our church for a candlelight service and then headed to Grandma Debbie and Grandpa Ric's house for a great dinner.  It was the first Christmas Eve in a long time that I haven't cooked, so I think I may have enjoyed it the most!

After two long, fun-filled, productive weeks off, I'm headed back to work in the morning.  We had so much fun together with Steve and I both being off around the holidays, that I know it's going to be a huge shock to everyone to get back into our routines tomorrow!  I'm sure going to miss these days home with our little family...
