Mom and Grandma hit the road on Sunday and my little brother showed up the very next day. Actually, younger brother would probably be a better way of saying that, given the fact that he is well over 6 feet tall and towers over his 5 foot 9 inch older sis.
Our visit with my brother, Rog, was a bit bittersweet. He was visiting as he's moving...from Japan...to Germany. At least Germany is closer than where he's been living for the past 6 years, but I still wish he was going to be closer! The girls soaked up as much Uncle Rog time as the possibly could...he picked them up early from preschool during the week while he was here and they got to stay home with him for one whole day. They were in heaven and can't stop asking about him and when he's coming back. We don't know when we'll get to see him again, but thanks to Skype, the girls can at least "see" him from time to time!
My brother left on Friday, but not before my Dad and Step-mom showed up from Tennessee for a weekend visit. Thank goodness they are all easy house guests or we'd be losing our minds by now!
While Dad and Wendy were here, we hit up a local pumpkin patch to enjoy the beautiful fall weekend. It was the perfect time to go because the weather was cool and we were just about the only people who were there! There were mazes, tunnels made of hay, pumpkins, train rides, and a petting zoo. The kids (and adults) had a great day...at least one that was better than staying home to watch the Browns lose!
Maddie and Livie
Livie and Maddie (note the tears in Maddie's eyes...those possibly could have been a direct result of her mother accidentally hitting her in the head with the camera...oops!)
Grumpa and Olivia with a baby bunny (Olivia turned out to be quite the animal lover, as you'll see from the rest of the pictures. I have NO idea where she gets that from, but know that it does NOT come from ME!)
