It was a busy and fun week filled with much for which to be thankful!!!
1. Time home with my kids - This week was a wonderful preview of what our summer together is going to be like and I can't wait!
2. A safe, quiet drive home from Georgia/Tennessee - After 20 hours in the car over a 5 day span of time, the kids are a little leery of getting in the car with us these days. They always ask if it's going to be a long time in the car or a short time.
3. Grumpa and Woo Woo - We had a great visit with them! They had fun things planned for the kids and took wonderful care of us during our time down South. To say they went all out for Easter is a bit of an understatement! They filled Easter baskets, orchestrated an egg hunt, helped color eggs, made cupcakes, etc. We can't wait to go back and visit them again soon. "ChatNEWda" is a blast!
4. Price Park - We joined Mindy, Tony, and Grace at the playground this week and enjoyed swings, slides, and wonderful friends.
5. Akron Zoo - Friday was beautiful and sunny, so the girls and I met Kiki, Olivia, Rocco, Melissa, Logan, Brooklynn, and Bev at the zoo. The monkey exhibit wasn't open, so it was a good thing that we brought all of our little monkeys to the zoo for everyone to enjoy!
6. Elmo Live - We went to see Elmo and all of his friends this morning at the Canton Civic Center and the kids had a blast. It was so much fun to see the excitement in their little faces when the characters all came out on the stage..although Olivia was at times more concerned about finding Tony than seeing Elmo.
7. Grandma Cindy and Jim - They surprised us today by stopping on their way home from Hilton Head. We really enjoyed their unexpected stop!
8. Friends - Krissy and Pete joined us for the evening and as always, it was a treat to see them. The Cavs game was watched, dinner was devoured, golf was played...here's to more great summer evenings with friends!
9. Life - This week, our family experienced both ends of the spectrum of life with the death of Steve's Great Aunt Betty on Wednesday and the birth of beautiful baby Norrie on Friday. We can't wait to meet Norrie in the summer!
10. SUNSHINE - Finally, the Ohio weather seems to be breaking and I truly feel like spring is upon us. I may have even gotten a little sunburn today!!! Keep the beautiful weather coming, please!
Tomorrow is my last day home before heading back to work. I'll post some ChatNEWda pictures before Monday...if my dad sends the rest of them to me (hint, hint).
