A is for Apple...

The weather in Ohio has been beautiful lately and we took advantage of the gorgeous day by heading to a local apple orchard this weekend.  My mom and Grandma were in town for the weekend, so they were able to join us at the orchard!

When we got all of our apples home, I put everyone to work and we made TONS of homemade applesauce that will go into the freezer.  We made a stock pot and crock pot full of applesauce.  If you've never tried making applesauce in a crock pot, I highly recommend giving it a try.  The apples and cinnamon simmer in the crock pot all day and make your house smell heavenly!

We celebrated all of the hard work we did picking and slicing apples at the end of the day...with some warm apple crisp.  We sure do love Autumn around here!
