It started off as a peaceful bath time at the Wright's. The kids were happily splashing in the water and as the picture above shows...life was good!
Suddenly, I noticed that there was more than just toys floating in the water...EEWWWW!!! I frantically called for Steve and then yelled a very loud "NO" at Olivia, who was trying to sample one of her new floating "toys". Apparently, my yelling startled both of my children, so I found myself with two, wet, screaming children who were standing next to the bathtub.
Steve and I got everyone calmed down (crisis momentarily averted) and began the fun process of sanitizing the tub so we could continue bath time. Right on cue, Madison peed all over the bathroom floor! After finding poop in the tub, Steve and I could only laugh hysterically while watching Madison pee on the bathroom floor. We laughed right up until she tried to move, slipped on the now very wet floor, and fell face first into the corner of the wall. It was one of our finer moments!
We comforted an already bruising Madison and got her to stop wailing. Then, in what seemed like slow motion, we watched Olivia pee on the floor and slip as well. Clearly, Steve and I are slow learners. Eventually, the kids all calmed down and we were able to clean both kids AND the bathroom. Needless to say, we decided to skip baths tomorrow!
What makes this story even more amusing (to all of you, NOT us) is that during this whole episode, Sydney was constantly in our way. To get her to go downstairs I may have mentioned that her best friend Gracie was here. Whenever she hears the words, "Gracie's here!", Sydney races down to the back door and gets very excited. It seemed like a great plan at the time, but wasn't as wonderful when we got downstairs after the bath. Apparently she was SOOO excited that she threw up in the kitchen. Did Steve and I really volunteraily sign up for all of this?!?!?
So, there you have it....my first blog post with a "cute" story about my kids...and it involved poop, pee, and puke! Welcome to my world!

Looks like never a dull moment in your household. Thank goodness for daddy to the rescue and that nobody was seriously hurt. Those sweet little faces certainly don't reveal the chaos that's yet to come! Way to go Syd! That'll teach them to try and fool you!
I think you are making this story up, because these adorable children would never do such things, especially Olivia! Also, I applaud your use of getting rid of the dog with the best friend tactic...needless to say Gracie is often looking for Sydney in our house!
I second that motion that Krissy said...my Madison would NEVER do something like that either...can't you see their innocent, sweet faces?! Parents...always making up stories :)
Am having a flashback...these kids take after their mother...
Hey, sounds like a familiar story from our household!! I think every parent needs to experience the "poo in the tub" situation at least once...it prepares you for all the gross things to come! Like getting chased around the kitchen by your son with a wriggly earthworm that he dug out of the sandbox...ewww!! Glad you're blogging! I will enjoy reading your stories about the girls. Hope to see you this summer!
